What my runners say?

Aimee Miles, Hereford

I can't recommend Adam highly enough. He's created two separate 12-week half marathon training plans for me, and each one was completely tailored to my pace, goals and commitments outside of running, making them realistic and easy to fit into everyday life.

The plans included a great variety of sessions, including long runs, hill training, intervals and recovery runs with a balance of weight training and recovery days. The mix of training pushed me outside of my comfort zone and introduced me to sessions I would never have chosen to do on my own, but they made such a difference to my running and improved my overall pace.

Each plan included milestone targets to work towards, and I achieved personal bests across the 5K, 10K and half marathon distances throughout both plans. Having those goals kept me motivated throughout and gave me real confidence in my progress.

Adam has also been incredibly supportive throughout. He was always available to answer any questions, regularly checking in with me and put my mind at ease, and when my health wasn't on my side, his advice, encouragement and ability to adapt my training were easily done.

I was looking to achieve a new personal best and become a more confident runner for longer distances and without having these plans, I wouldn’t of been able to achieve this, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Adam. His knowledge, support and personalised approach have made a huge difference to my running journey.

The biggest thing Adam gave me wasn't just faster running times, it was my confidence. I went into every race knowing I'd done the right training that was tailored to me, and that's reflected in the PBs I achieved.

If you're aiming for a PB or working towards a new running goal, Adam is the coach you want by your side.

I had never run before I approached Adam about coaching, and all I wanted to do initially was to increase my health and fitness. I am not a naturally sporty person and I didn’t have much faith that I could be, but Adam had so much faith in me and his enthusiasm was infectious. Pretty soon, with his encouragement, I was smashing goals I could never have dreamed up before he started coaching me. First a 5k, then 10k, then 15k…

With his help, I started to believe that I could be the person that I’ve secretly always wanted to be. The best thing about the coaching was Adam’s constant encouragement; he made me feel like I could do anything I set my mind to, as long as I put in the work, and his belief and excellent advice meant that I was able to achieve everything I wanted and more. I even managed to complete a Tough Mudder, which I never thought I would actually be brave enough to attempt. Adam also had a lot of flexibility, basing my training around my availability, my goals, and my body’s random rebellions, and he was always happy to alter the plan to ensure that I stayed healthy while still meeting my own targets.

I would recommend AMH Running to anyone who is looking for a coach that listens to you and cheers for you, especially if you think you’re not a runner.

‘I had been running for years when I met Adam, but never really consistently and the furthest distance had been a half marathon, which I’d ran 9 years previously. Since then I’d not got myself into a regular, consistent pattern of running, but I was desperate to. After entering the London ballot every year with no success, I decided I just needed to sign up to marathon with spaces, and this would be the push I needed to prioritise my running. After signing up, I quickly realised I had no idea how to train for a marathon, I don’t think I even really understood how far 26 miles really was, but this was my goal!

Adam was always full of confidence in me, he explained things so clearly and made it all sound so easy and straight forward. He was able to tell me straight away what distance I’d be running by what date, which made, what felt to me like an impossible dream, a reality. I was running the distances and the plan he had made me worked exactly as he said it would. What I enjoyed most about Adam’s coaching was just how straight forward it all was, Adam was able to give me a training plan that worked around my life, got me to where I needed to be, was manageable and really worked.

The coaching helped me to integrate running into my life. Being a mother to two young children and working 4 days a week, it felt like it would be impossible to train for a marathon. But thanks to Adam, the running just slotted in. Adam’s coaching also built my confidence, when I questioned whether or not I could do it, Adam would respond so matter-of-factly, ‘of course you will’, that I felt silly for even questioning myself. He had full confidence and believed in me 100% and his belief in me, made me believe in myself, so much so I’ve signed up to another marathon.

I would absolutely recommend Adam as a running coach.
